Ophthalmic Technician and Scribe – Mercer
The Laurel Eye Clinic, a premier provider of comprehensive eye care in Northwestern and Central Pennsylvania, has full-time career opportunities available as an Ophthalmic Technician and Scribe.
Primary duties of the Ophthalmic Technician include data collection and documentation in EHR, chair-side doctor assistance, and performing diagnostic tests as required by the doctors.
Primary duties of the Scribe include detailed data entry and documentation of patient exams in EHR.
The ideal candidates must have excellent computer skills, be professional, positive and team oriented, and must be committed to providing excellent patient care. Also, must be willing to work flexible hours and travel to provide coverage at different Laurel Eye Clinic locations as needed such as Grove City. A full benefit package including travel benefits is provided along with a competitive wage.
Certified Ophthalmic Assistant/Technician/Scribe, LPN or individual with medical experience preferred. EOE
Patient Services Coordinator – Altoona area
The Laurel Eye Clinic in Duncansville has a full-time career opportunity for a professional, positive and friendly Patient Services Coordinator. Previous medical office experience preferred. Must have excellent customer service skills and computer skills. Must be willing to work flexible hours and travel to surrounding offices. Travel benefits provided. Responsibilities include working with patients, answering multiple phone lines, scheduling appointments, and duties related to the patient check in and check out process using electronic health records. The Laurel Eye Clinic in Brookville has a full-time career opportunity available in the Patient Accounting Department for a positive, professional and motivated individual. The ideal candidate is team oriented and must have excellent computer and telephone skills. Experience with accounts receivable management, medical and surgical billing and coding preferred including current coding certification. EOE
