Patient Services Coordinator
The Laurel Eye Clinic has a full-time career opportunity available as a Patient Services Coordinator. This position will primarily work at our Brookville office, but candidates must be willing to work flexible hours and travel occasionally to surrounding offices as needed, such as DuBois, St. Marys and Clearfield. Travel benefits provided.
Primary responsibilities include professional interactions with patients, answering multiple phone lines, scheduling appointments, and duties related to the patient check in and check out process using electronic health records. This position will also provide coverage in our call center in the Brookville office.
Excellent computer skills required. Individuals with previous medical office experience preferred. Training provided. EOE
Optician
- Grove City/Mercer
The Laurel Eye Clinic has a career opportunity available for an outgoing, motivated Optician with excellent customer service skills. This position will provide coverage primarily at the Grove City office but may occasionally work at the Mercer office as well. Prior optical or retail sales experience is preferred. Job duties would include all aspects of patient fit and adjustment for glasses, insurance eligibility verification and interpretation, and inventory management. EOE
Ophthalmic Technician

The Laurel Eye Clinic has career opportunities available as an Ophthalmic Technician. Primary duties include data collection and documentation in EHR, chair-side doctor assistance, and performing diagnostic tests as required by the doctors. The ideal candidate must have excellent computer skills, be professional, positive and team oriented. Must be committed to providing excellent patient care. Certified Ophthalmic Assistant/Technician, LPN or individual with medical experience preferred. Training will be provided. Full-time or Part-time available. EOE
Optometrist
The Laurel Eye Clinic is seeking a full-time medical optometrist in the Altoona, PA area. This is a unique opportunity to practice in a busy, multi-specialty practice while working directly with Ophthalmologists. The ideal candidate must be hard-working, willing to travel, motivated, and be driven by patient-centered care. We seek a clinically skilled candidate that would manage medical eye conditions, perform specialized testing, pre and post-operative care for refractive and cataract patients, along with routine eye care. The Laurel Eye Clinic operates an optical boutique and an Ambulatory Surgery Center, Laurel Laser & Surgery Center, from this location.
A competitive compensation package is offered along with future ownership potential. Applicants must possess a Doctor of Optometry degree from an accredited school of optometry and be licensed to practice optometry in the state of PA.
