The Laurel Eye Clinic was founded in 1973 and the Laurel Laser & Surgery Center was opened in 2000. It is one of the first ambulatory surgery centers in Pennsylvania privately owned and operated by ophthalmologists. Nearly 4,000 surgeries are performed in the Laurel Laser & Surgery Center annually.

A second Laurel Laser & Surgery Center was constructed in the spring of 2007 near Altoona, Pennsylvania. Both Laurel Laser & Surgery Center facilities are equipped with the latest innovations in ophthalmic technology.

This landmark medical practice introduced corneal, retinal and oculoplastic surgery to Northwestern and Central Pennsylvania. This practice has performed many medical “firsts” in the area. Among these are the area’s first IOL implantation, the first Argon and YAG laser treatments, and the area’s first refractive procedures, RK, LASIK, and CK.
