As a policeman and a fireman, vision is extremely important to me. I was totally unable to function without my glasses. I wore glasses since I was 3 years old and I wondered what life would be like without glasses. I learned that I was not a candidate for LASIK but the Laurel Eye Clinic wanted to correct my vision. They thought I would be a good candidate for the ICL implants. I decided they were right! I was in the OR before my surgery and Dr. Nichamin asked me to read the clock on the wall. I said, “Yeah, right” I couldn’t see the clock, let alone what time it was. A few minutes later, he asked me the same question, and with only one eye corrected, I had no trouble tell-ing what time it was!! Two weeks later, I had my second eye corrected and I no longer wear glasses! The experience was literally life changing!
