WELL-KNOWN LOCAL OPHTHALMOLOGIST JOINS FORCES WITH NATIONALLY KNOWN LAUREL EYE CLINIC
Local ophthalmologist Jeffrey Heimer, MD, of Heimer Eye Care Associates is partnering with the Laurel Eye Clinic and the Laurel Laser & Surgery Centers. This joint venture will provide residents of State College with the latest options in cataract and vision correction surgery.

Dr. Heimer has been established in the State College area for 22 years. He is a general ophthalmologist who has developed a high volume cataract surgery practice. Laurel Eye Clinic, which is celebrating 35 years of excellence in eye care this year, currently has 10 locations in Western Pennsylvania. Stewart Van Horn, MD, of the Laurel Eye Clinic, will now be seeing patients in Dr. Heimer’s State College office and will be offering LASIK as well as other vision correction procedures. The latest technology in multi-focal lens implants for cataract patients will be available.

Dr. Van Horn, MD, is a Board certified ophthalmologist with clinical, surgical, and refractive surgery experience. He completed his residency in ophthalmology at the UCLA Jules Stein Institute and then completed a fellowship in refractive and corneal surgery at the Sinsky Eye Institute in California prior to joining the Laurel Eye Clinic in 2000. Dr. Van Horn specializes in cataract and refractive (vision correction) surgery.
