The Laurel Eye Clinic of Grove
City, Pennsylvania is searching for a highly motivated,
eager to learn, dedicated individual to join our growing
practice as an Ophthalmic Assistant. Experienced
Certified Ophthalmic Assistant/Technician, or individual
with medical experience/background preferred.
Job Duties:
- Obtain medical and social
history.
- Perform vision screening
procedures to include, but not limited to: visual
acuity test, tonometry, ocular motility, clinical
optics, refractions, and other duties as assigned.
- Accurately chart and document
in patients chart recorded findings
- Administer diagnostic and
therapeutic eye drops as requested
- Maintain patient flow
- Assist doctors with procedures
- Learn and master technological
equipment
- Prepare and maintain exam and
treatment rooms, equipment, and supplies
- Patient teaching on various
eye related information and procedures
Requirements:
- High school diploma with
previous medical background, and/or LPN licensure
- COA or COT preferable, but
will train with requirement to earn COA after one
year of employment
- Ability to multitask in a fast
past patient oriented environment
- Detail oriented with excellent
communication skills and ability to work well with
others
- Willing to travel to alternate
sites as needed
- CPR certification within 6
weeks of employment
