LAUREL EYE CLINIC RECEIVES AWARDS
The Laurel Eye Clinic was awarded the Business Hall of Fame Innovation Award by the Blair County Chamber of Commerce. The Clinic is one of twelve honorees in various categories.

The process begins with an anonymous nomination for the award. It is then up to the business to complete and submit the award application. The applications are reviewed by an impartial panel of judges. The judges then choose the recipients.

The Blair County Chamber of Commerce deems these honors as Awards of Distinction. This is most definitely an accurate term as there are approximately 5,000 businesses operating in Blair County. The Chamber has been inducting businesses in its Hall of Fame since 1990.

This year, the awards were formally presented at a black tie dinner reception in October at the Blair County Convention Center.

The Laurel Eye Clinic has also been voted “Best of the Best” by the readers of the Grove City Allied News and the Sharon Herald. Each year the readers of the papers nominate their “favorite” business in a variety of categories. The nominees are then listed in a special section of the paper, and the readers then vote on their favorite in each category. The winners are then listed in a second special section of the paper with each nominee and winner given the opportunity to thank the readers for their nominations and votes. This is the third year the papers have done this and Laurel Eye Clinic has won the past two years.
