Louis D. “Skip” Nichamin, MD

Dr. Louis D. “Skip” Nichamin, the Medical Director of the Laurel Eye Clinic and the Laurel Laser & Surgery Center, has an unusually broad surgical experience including extensive experience performing vitreoretinal ophthalmic surgery, but his current focus centers upon cataract and refractive surgery (vision correction). Dr. Nichamin, a board-certified ophthalmologist, is an active member and leader in the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery (ASCRS), the American Academy of Ophthalmology (AAO) and the International Society of Refractive Keratoplasty. Dr. Nichamin has served as the Chairman of the Cataract Clinical Committee of the ASCRS, and has been a Representative for the American Academy of Ophthalmology Board of Councilors. He has received various awards for his work in the field of cataract, refractive, and laser eye surgery including the Academy’s Secretariat and Senior Achievement Awards. Dr. Nichamin has published numerous textbook chapters and scientific papers, and serves as an editor for the most widely read ophthalmic publications. He is an internationally recognized lecturer, innovator and teacher in his field, and serves as a scientific advisor for several leading ophthalmic companies.

Stewart VanHorn, MD

Dr. Stewart VanHorn is a Board certified ophthalmologist with clinical, surgical and refractive surgery experience. He completed his residency in ophthalmology at the UCLA Jules Stein Institute and then completed a fellowship in refractive and corneal surgery at the Sinsky Eye Institute in California prior to joining the Laurel Eye Clinic in 2000. Dr. VanHorn specializes in cataract and refractive (vision correction) surgery.

Jeffrey L. Bezier, MD

Dr. Jeffrey L. Bezier is a Board certified ophthalmologist with over 20 years experience in western Pennsylvania. Dr. Bezier is a graduate of Princeton University and Columbia University. He completed his residency at Wills Eye Institute. Dr. Bezier also served in the Medical Corps of the US Army. Dr. Bezier cares for patients in the Grove City, Seneca, and Brookville offices. He currently performs cataract and other ophthalmic procedures at Grove City Medical Center, and the Laurel Laser & Surgery Center. Download CV
