VISION CORRECTION PROCEDURES

Photorefractive Keratectomy (PRK)

A refractive surgical procedure that employs a computer controlled excimer laser system to sculpt by ablation the central corneal zone, or visual axis, to change the shape in order to correct mild to moderate cases of nearsightedness. With this procedure, the visual recovery is very slow and post-operative discomfort is very high.
