VISION CORRECTION PROCEDURES

Implantable Collamer Lens (ICL)

Implantable Collamer Lens (ICL) is an intraocular lens implant designed for correction of moderate to high myopia or hyperopia. The ICL is inserted through a tiny incision and placed between the iris and the natural lens. It does not replace the natural lens, but rather supplements it; therefore it is sometimes referred to as an implantable contact lens. This provides patients the option of vision correction without the permanence of laser correction for nearsightedness (myopia). Although the lens simulates a contact lens, the patient can not feel the lens and the lens does not require maintenance
