                At the Laurel Eye Clinic we strive to provide the most advanced lens products to provide our patients with the best visual experience. Two of our latest product offerings include individually customized Eyecode lenses by Essilor and the new Transitions Vantage polarized, photochromic lenses by Transitions.

                The state-of-the-art Visioffice system by Essilor not only measures the standard pupil distance and bifocal heights, but it includes additional personalized measurements from the patient and their frame. These new lens designs are known as Eyecode lenses by Essilor. The additional customized measurements include a variety of frame parameters and personal behaviors, such as frame wrap and head and eye movement. By combining these advanced measurements Essilor has been able to produce the Eyecode series of lenses with maximized viewing areas and minimized distortion.                 The new product offering from Transitions is known as Transitions Vantage. These lenses are not only photochromic, but have the ability to polarize with changing light conditions. Introduced to the Transitions family of products in May 2012, Transitions Vantage lenses give the added benefit of variable polarization when exposed to UV light. These lenses are virtually clear inside, and polarize while darkening outside for crisper, sharper vision and glare reduction. Transition Vantage lenses are not designed to replace the current Transitions product but compliment them. With 3 options, Transitions VI, Transitions XTRActive, and now Transitions Vantage there is a transitions product for everyone
