Jolynn Dobson Cook, RN, COE, CASC - Administrator

Jolynn D. Cook is the Administrator of the Laurel Eye Clinic and the Laurel Laser & Surgery Centers. A Certified Ophthalmic Executive, Ms. Cook is a registered nurse and also holds a degree in Heath Care Administration. In 2011 she obtained the CASC credential (Certified Administrator Surgery Center.) She is a presenter at the national ASOA Congress and the Hawaiian Eye meetings. Currently, she serves as the Program Planner for the Nurse/Allied Health Program for the Hawaiian Eye Meeting. In addition, she has authored articles for Administrative Eyecare, Ophthalmic Professional and BSM Connections^TM. Ms. Cook is a member of the BSM Advisory Board which provides guidance into BSM Consulting's distant learning and practice management content and development. Jolynn has authored three ophthalmic educational courses. In addition, Jolynn is a member of OWL (Ophthalmic Women Leaders). Ms. Cook was appointed to the Editorial Advisory Board of Ophthalmic Professional Magazine in 2012. She served a term as a member of Board of Directors for the American Society of Ophthalmic Administrators while serving two terms as the President of the National Board of Certified Ophthalmic Executives. Additionally, Jolynn is a regular Board Member of the Brookville Chamber of Commerce and has past service on the Boards of the American Red Cross, American Cancer Society and Jefferson Manor Health Centers.

Joseph C. Saricks, Jr. - CFO

Joseph C. Saricks, Jr. is the CFO of the Laurel Eye Clinic. Joe oversees the financial departments of both the Laurel Eye Clinic and the Laurel Laser & Surgery Center. Joe has been with Laurel Eye for 10 years and has extensive experience in healthcare.

Mary Jo Bettwy, RN, BSN, MS - Clinical Manager

Mary Jo Bettwy, RN, BSN, MS, is the Clinical Manager of the Laurel Eye Clinic. Mary Jo is in charge of the clinical aspects of the practice. Mary Jo supervises all of the technicians and clinical procedures. Lisa Shaw, COE, NPC, EPM/EHR - IT/Patient Services Manager

Lisa Shaw is the IT/Patient Services Manager of the Laurel Eye Clinic. Lisa obtained her Certified Ophthalmic Executive (COE) credential in 2011. Additionally, Lisa is a NextGen Certified Professional in both EPM and EHR. Lisa has been a member of ASOA for more than 6 years and has presented at the annual ASOA Congress. Lisa has published numerous articles for Ophthalmic Professional and authored an educational course for BSM Connections. Lisa serves on a call center related Customer Advisory Board. At the Laurel Eye Clinic, Lisa manages computer security and maintenance and the systems that collect and store patient information. Dave Buchanan, RN, CASC - Clinical Director (Brookville)

Dave Buchanan, RN is the Clinical Director of the Laurel Laser & Surgery Center in Brookville. In November 2012 he received his CASC credential (Certified Administrator Surgery Center.) In addition, Dave is a member of the Association of Professionals in Infection Control (ADIC) and the Pennsylvania Amublatory Surgery Association (PASA). Dave oversees all procedures and staff in the Brookville facility. Dave has been an RN for 30 years, with 15 years in a nursing managment role. Apryl McElheny, RN, BSN, CASC - Clinical Director (Altoona)

Apryl McElheny, RN is the Clinical Director of the Laurel Laser & Surgery Center in Duncansville (Altoona). In November 2012 she received her CASC credential (Certified Administrator Surgery Center.)  Apryl is the Infection Preventionist  at the Duncansville clinic and a member of APIC (Association for Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology.)  In addition, Apryl is the Quality Assurance Coordinator in Duncansville where she ensures regulation compliance and current licensure with teh PA Department of Health, Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, and Accrediation Association for Ambulatory Heath Care. Jennifer Gilhousen, ABOC - Optical Manager

Jennifer Gilhousen is the Optical Manager at the Laurel Eye Clinic. Jennifer manages all of the Laurel Eye Optical Boutiques as well as the Opticians. Jennifer is an American Board of Opticianry certified optician with 15 years of optical management experience. April Renninger, PHR - Human Resources Manager

April Renninger is the Human Resources Manager at the Laurel Eye Clinic and the Laurel Laser & Surgery Centers. She has worked for the Practice for over 10 years, which includes over 5 years in Human Resources. In 2011 April obtained the PHR (Professional in Human Resources) credential. She is a member of the National Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM) and the Society of Healthcare Human Resources Professionals of Pennsylvania (SHHRPP). Mark Powell - Marketing Manager

Mark Powell is the Marketing Manager at the Laurel Eye Clinic. Mark joined the Laurel Eye Clinic in 2005 with 10 years of experience in business, marketing and customer service.
